After attending a jean fitting in selfridges, i head towards LUXX nightclub- just off regent street, at 5.30pm
As i enter the nightclub i see the rest of the models staring at me. I sit down waiting for hair and make up. The other models, on first site, appeared to be staring me out. On first opinion there seemed a lot of bitchness. They also all seemed to know each other in a strange way from other shoots. That's another thing, you all seem t gradually get connected.. networking darling!
The make up and hair stylists tied our hair into ponytails. Our make up was black eyes. We had rehearsals, and bonded with each other. Too my suprise, they were actually quite nice. Maybe it has something to do with the amount of nudity, due to quick costume changing, there is no room for modesty.
Finally the event starts. WE all walk and after we are allowed to mingle with the industry and photographer. We are also entitled to free drinks- what a bonus.
The catwalk was for graduate fashion designers.
If you can be persuasive enough, you can get a guest in, maybe two if you push enough. I managed to get a guest in, and although it wasn't my best night (as i'm high fashion, catalogue and beauty), really helped him get an insight into me. After the show ended, i decided to go for a late dinner- yes, 12.30 dinner.. Any guess' where.. well darlings, that's CHINNA TAWNN
Overall a good night. I met some nice models, and have kept in contact. If anything, it's built up a bigger network for me, so i'm happy with what i achieved.
